职前和在职英语教师中学教学隐喻

摘要:隐喻不仅是一种修辞,更是教师进行自我反思的重要途径以及挖掘自身潜在教学信念的工具(CameronLow1999;LakoffJohnson,1980).前人所做的大量探讨都着重于教师或是学生的隐喻。本论文跳出这一框架,以职前教师和在职教师的角度看,以英语教学为例,探讨他们对中学英语教学和英语教师的隐喻以而探究其背后隐藏的教学信念。作者主要采取问卷调查法和访谈法获得探讨信息,探讨对象为华中师范大学的五十名英语教育硕士。探讨的发现主要包括:职前教师与在职教师都给出了相似的关于学生、老师以及学校的隐喻,都倾向用无生命的喻体来表达自己的看法。此外,通过访谈,作者还发现,尽管这些隐喻有很多相似之处,职前教师相对于在职老师,对教学报以一种更为乐观的态度。产生这些差别的理由主要来自三个方面:文化影响、教师自身经历以及社会压力。最后,作者将老师们给出的隐喻分成四类:将教学比作“水”等物质相关的隐喻;将教学喻成与“表演”相关的隐喻;认为教学类似于“牧羊”的隐喻和将教学看成一种与“权力”相关的隐喻。这四种隐喻下隐藏的两种教学信念,既将教学比作“水”等物质相关的与将教学看成一种与“权力”相关的隐喻反映的行为主义教学观和将教学喻成与“表演”相关的与认为教学类似于“牧羊”的隐喻反映的建构主义教学观念。作者希望,本探讨能够丰富关于利用隐喻浅析探究教师内心世界的探讨并教师教育课程设计者有所帮助。关键词:职前与在职教师论文隐喻论文教学信念论文
